eCommunications and Procurement is integral to the Directorate of Children's Services ICT Strategy and provides the development of coherent electronic communications systems, procurement of ICT equipment, software, eLearning content and training for schools and the Directorate.
eCommunications and Procurement provides opportunities:
- to use ICT in unprecedented, creative and innovative ways to enhance challenging, flexible, interactive learning environments.
- to exploit ICT to impact upon teaching, learning, engagement and attainment across all Key Stages and curriculum areas.
- to empower our staff in schools by ensuring that they are appropriately trained and supported and are therefore able to make use of new technologies in ways that match their apparent promise.
- to enable our communities of schools to plan for the operational and future exploitation of ICT by looking closely at contexts, uses and misuses and understanding how we might sustain, invent, discover and devise usage.

eLearning Resources
Message directed to Knowsley based teachers… Since the licence for using Content Stream expired to access subscription-based e-learning resources late last year, we are now in an interim period before we start to BETA-test an e-learning platform which will enable you to seamlessly access your e-learning resources. The majority of schools have been issued usernames and passwords and given the relevant website addresses to access their content, however you can now use this website as a temporary one-stop shop, to access various free content that was previously available through Content Stream and also access the websites to which many of you have subscribed-to this year. If schools would also like a copy of their username and passwords then could you please contact the E-Communication and Procurement Team on 0151 443 4768/4769.

Currently your home grown material which was originally published on Content Stream was held on the Learnwise Server but at some point this will need to be reviewed and determined what you wish schools to access and we can provide a link to these materials once this task has been completed.
